The Luxembourgers in america
A Pilgrim's Progress
"The
Luxembourgers in America" is part of the pilot phase of a larger
project to create, in cooperation with partners in Europe and the
United States, a Transatlantic Digital Library dealing with themes of
common European-American interest and significance. This project is
linked to the Transatlantic Information Exchange System (TIES), which
was launched in May 1998 under the auspices of the United
States-European Union New Transatlantic Agenda, and to the Library of
Congress, Washington D.C. It is also part of the "Emigration Studies"
on the web-site of the Institut Grand-Ducal, Section de linguistique,
d'ethnologie et d'onomastique in Luxembourg, which was developed in
order to present specific aspects of Luxembourg immigration:
Traditions, food, language, architecture, religion and also provides
links to other Internet sites in the United States and Europe.
